So... Is it safe to assume that next year you'll have a paint stirring stick dummy corded to the snow blower by next winter?

Might be a good idea if the manufacturers fitted something like that as standard.

Get well soon, Bob.

They do now, but my guess is if Bob's blower predates warning labels it probably also predates the little plastic shovels too.

I have 6 uncles on my mom's side.  Oddly only my Uncle Bob has lost digits in machinery (baler to be precise--but not unlike a snowblower).  Maybe it's a "Guy named Bob" sort of thing...

Weird... I have an Uncle named Bob that's missing half his foot.  Maybe it is a guy named Bob thing!

My dad lost about half of his finger that way.  We found it a few weeks later when our dog came trotting up to the house carrying Dad's mitten with the finger inside.

Geez you really must hate blowing snow if you did that to get out of it! If that feels like a stranger doing your bum work for you maybe you should consider asking a close friend to help you. Anyways it could've been worse it could've been an MT. Multis don't belong in snowblowers either. ;) :p Get well soon Bob!

Well there was one time with a squash but I'm sure the pumpkin would have worked better.

Damn, I had one of those on my Christmas wish list Mat, but Mrs Santa didn't come thru. Maybe after the finger repair bill shows up next month Mrs Santa will be a bit more inclined to let me upgrade  :D

Speaking of the finger, two weeks later and its looking mostly pink again. :) Pain is still there when I bang it on something (which happens about every five minutes) :bnghd: but other than that its not too bad. At least I can start to do things left-handed again. :)
