I knew there was a reason I liked it here, and this thread has pointed out exactly why. Lots of mutts, rescued dogs, mixed breed cats and shelter cats, etc, and the purebreds are “proper dogs”. There are no overbred balls of fluff living their lives in constant pain on cause of some breeder's disturbed ideas of what a “dog” should look like. (Dog breeders “producing” unhealthy animals on purpose should be forbidden ever working with any kind of animals, IMNSHO.) Just wanted to give the whole community a big

I personally, being a physiological and cognitive psychologist, have been wanting a rat for a pet. Two in fact... I've researched it quite a bit and have decided that I'll get two females as from what I've read they are less odorous than male rats and all mice, and tend to be more docile and affectionate than males and mice. I'm still researching enclosures, and what I'll need to comfortably house two females, but I have already decided that, again, being a psychologist, I'm going to call them Watson and Skinner!
