Facepalm moments in your life
on: July 02, 2012, 09:12:18 PM
Like the subject says...

I'll start. Here is an actual course that is offered at Michigan State University:

SW290: Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse: Catastrophes & Human Behavior

This is the school where I spend $25,000.00 a year for a "good" education for my daughter...

This thread is PERFECT. Since I asked for help with stropping and blade sharpening in general. Ive succeded in putting an edge on a blade. Heel to tip on 2000 grit sand paper. Good base for me to learn on.

The dullest MT in the line up,LM Mini Tool. Heel is SHARP. Here are the results boys,

I had that guy in my bar once.  I told him he couldn't take his knife in and the girl he was with asked "Even if he has a license?"

Just for the record, and for those who may not be aware, there is no license or permit you can get in Canada for carrying a knife.

Maybe all Dickheads should have licenses  :P could be a great revenue source & would work in all countries  :D :D.

I remember my boss at the garage I worked at when I left school was telling a customer that their smurfbox of a dunger of a car had a lot of rust in it's chassis rails & the customer says "Is that a good thing" ?. Yeh sure it's magical rust , it has made your car lighter & it will go faster

"Downunder Mod (that sounds dirty, doesn't it?)"
Yeh Baby :P >:D >:D

That won't happen Mat- most lawmakers are self serving dickheads and I doubt they'd want to inconvenience themselves.  More likely they'd force the rest of us to get non-dickhead licenses...

With some of that rust and some Simpsons certified Speed Holes I bet they'd have an awesome car!

Last week my baseball team played the first place team in our division. Despite being completely outclassed, we played well over our heads and were leading 18-7 with two innings left to go. But then the wheels fell off the wagon. Five errors in one inning and three more in the next. We ended up losing 21-19. I facepalmed so many times in those two innings that my forehead started to develope a callous.

Ouch.  I'd say I know what that feels like but my team has never been ahead of anyone...

Today at work, a co-worker (female) asked if I had a can opener she could borrow.  I said "yep, just let me grab my SAK" while putting my hand in my pocket.  Should have seen the look on her face!   I then had to explain the a Swiss Army Knife was called a SAK.

Here I type SAK because it's quick, in the real world I say Swiss Army Knife, knife, or "Swissy". I wouldn't feel right pronouncing it like "sack" ... that's just wrong  :D

I've had so many facepalm moments in my life that I'd need a forum all to myself for them all!!!

Fortunately, I can't remember many of them! :D

I don't want to know what she thinks your testicles look like if she thinks you can open a can with them!   :ahhh

I thought that it was just a Canadian thing. I've always been told that Canadians are so tough that they could snap a 2x4 with their testicles  :D

That is slightly exaggerated... the 2x4 has to be frozen first...
