Much appreciated guys! I have to wait, though. The file is not locking so i've to send it back and get another one. I hope they check first and send after.

Uh... I wonder how that can happen
Would it be possible for you to post a picture of the failing file locking?   :salute:

Yep. Have to go upstairs first. The thing is, only the file is failing. The other tools are being locked when open.

And that's my blood on it. It pinched me when it failed. Have to remember to clean it before sending it in tomorrow

Thanks Edi  :hatsoff:
It looks like the locking lever doesn't  fully slip into the files notch.
I've not seen that before

Don‘t tell me this is another example of LM‘s QC messing up  Is this a new Rebar, Edi?

Btw, the youtube video has no description. It is intended only for this forum/thread. Lemons we all know, are everywhere.

It really seems like to be a better idea to buy used and older LM‘s these days. The ones that I own were all used and older and have none of the issues we discussed here lately  :dunno:

I know what you mean. But being in europe limits the used area with simple shipping and returning. And the warranty works flawlessly. So...

Hope you can get the file issue sorted  I have had modded tools do this but no factory tool should :bnghd:

Hopefully when all of this lockdown and quarantine stuff is over, loki can get more of those great wrenches out as well :salute:

Yep. If i'm not getting by with what i have, loki will be the next step. I want to pair this one with the victorinox locksmith. And some tools are then obsolete. But first, i have to get a new completely ok rebar  ::)

The edge of my Rebar's file chafed my palm when using the pliers.  I made the file sit lower when folded by using a Dremel rotary tool to deepen the half round recess near the end of the file.  Then, I used a 42" by 1" belt sander to round over the outer file edge slightly.

(The flexible coupling inside my Dremel tool broke while doing this so I have another repair job to do when the replacement part arrives. )
