Thanks!
I think it is a great tool also. But I am waiting to get a used Rebar before I actually use one (I hope Poncho does not see this )

Okay! Okay! Okay!  :D

There is a chance that I will use it in December. I have not signed up for a challenge, so I may decide to go for the Rebar 30 day badge.

Wait, there’s a Rebar challenge this December?  :like:

Where do I sign up?

I’m thinking it’ll be the best venue to test how the mods will hold up or if the tool is gonna blow apart like in a cartoon. (December is usually a Spirit X month for me due to the holidays)

I don't think there is an official Challenge. But, as I understand (or not), an individual can perform a Challenge on their own. Of course, if there is enough interest we could do a group Challenge.

I have multiple tools that I will never use, such as a CRKT Zilla-Tool.

I have multiple tools I should have never bought, such as a CRKT Zilla-Tool

I did carry the Rebar for a couple of days, but it was overly tight and I did not have the loki wrenches at that time. Looks like I will have another go at it in December  ;)

Where is the best place to post a Rebar Challenge invitation? In the Leatherman subforum?

Never did get a Zilla Tool  always meant to but now they are a lot harder to find ::)

I have had to tension any newer Rebars (making them looser) that I have had but the first and second one I bought (early on when they were first being produced) were tensioner just right  :tu:

So there’s like 4? 5? on board for a December Rebar challenge?

I’m trying to picture how it’s gonna look/feel since my Rebar’s been ‘backup’ piece for the longest time and now he’ll be moved to primary.

Anyway, just a random pic of the Rebar plier head clearing the scissor thumb stud.

That sounds like a very good plan, Zephon; a Rebar M.

Keep us (me!) posted! :2tu:

Plans suddenly took a bad turn when the seller mistakenly sent me eyeglass screwdriver holder instead of the bit holder. Yeah, he was telling me to keep it and he’ll just send the correct part but in good faith plus having no current use for it, I opted to send it back for refund and start the process of purchase all over again.

Item return pickup is scheduled tomorrow so the entire process may take the whole week.

Naaah, not a bad one; just an opportunity to think of the many other things you can do it before restarting the mod's. >:D :pok:

And, I can wait.  :tu:

Some regard the philips driver of the Rebar as it’s best feature.  So why would I want to ditch the philips and swap it with a bit holder?  It’s the LM bits ecosystem.  Sure, I can put an adaptor over the philips but it’ll add an extra inch and maybe even extra wobble.  What I now have is extra flexibility.

I can pair my Rebar with a bit kit and ratchet bit and my Rebar now has added flexibility.  The bit in the picture is the philips #1-2 and flat 3/16 that I bought separately.

Now…for recessed screws…. Maybe I should get the 2.5inch long bit as well…..

That is a great mod :tu: and adds a lot of flexibility as well :like:

I haven't found that the LM Phillips Adapter added any wobble though  (I do prefer the bit driver mostly over the dedicated Phillips though) I keep the adapter with me even when I have a bit driver because it is very handy when you happen to carry a square shank Phillips LM  that specific bit card never leaves my sheath though :D

A pic of the card with the adapter :tu:
