It’s actually a stainless clip, not a black one.  Must be the reflection or lighting when I took the picture.

Anyway, I attached the clip this morning after breakfast.  I removed the magnets I glued on for the long MUT flat/philips bit.  I attached it on the saw side of the tool, where the LM branding is at.  I also made the ‘locks’ the point of reference so the rectangular edge of the clip run continuous with the edge of the lock.  That way the clip isn’t supposed to interfere with any round corners.

I’m also not too crazy of the Nite Ize brand so I took a 150 grit sandpaper to remove the logo on the clip, then finished it off with a 2,000 grit to match the texture of the Rebar.

The clip is bigger than expected and I think would even hold up a Super Tool 300 (as if you can clip carry that one).

Nice touch sanding the clip to match the Rebar's texture Zephon  :like:

I just might steal the idea for the Free clip I put on my SS handles/BO implements hybrid Rebar.
Cheers!

Thanks! It was fun to make but if I do another one I will burnish the edges and maybe put a strap in the back instead of the keyring so the kids can play with it

I have always been fascinated by that mask

G'Day,

I read through a few Rebar scissors mod threads, but have not found the info I am looking for. I am thinking of adding a scissors to a standard Rebar. I don't like the serrated blade, which will most likely be the left out victim. My question is regarding thickness of the serrated blade and the scissors: are they the same or similar? If I ditch the serrated blade will there be enough space to drop a scissors in. Inner tools may have to be moved around, I understand this. For now I just want to make sure there will be enough space if the serrated blade goes.

Cheers, Pete

Hey Pete, I think the s blade is approx 1.78mm and the wave scissors 2.48mm.
There should be enough washers or a lanyard ring in there you could remove to make space.
It doesn't have to be a perfect match, the pivot will give you some room too.

I was not sure about the lanyard ring, thanks for that. I'll look for a tool in the new year, already have the scissors.

What are you going to place in the slot for the serrated blade? I’m curious if you really need to notch the lower part of the implement that would go where any of the blades are.

There are a few tools that wont require notching.
I personally found the handle uncomfortable with an empty cutout.
