I love the pliers and use them quite a bit, but the Super Tinker would be the choice this time for pocketability. When I want the scissors, I go for my Champ or CyberTool.

:)

Ahem.

"When I want the pliers" is clearly what I really meant!

I was gifted a Victorinox Woodsman when I was around 13 from my parents. My dad got it in Switzerland where they engraved them. My dad had the Explorer and my brother got the (discontinued) Craftsman.

I feel very fortunate about my first SAK. I happen to think the (since discontinued) Woodsman is one of the best toolsets they've ever offered. It combines the two most popular 4-layer models, Huntsman and Explorer, with both the wood saw and the mag+inline phillips layers. It's only slightly larger but becomes both a great EDC and camping/outdoors tool. If I could only have one SAK, this model would likely be it.

I still have it and it's in good shape (I didn't use it as thoroughly as I should have). Since the scales are part of the sentimental value to me, I only use it for very light tasks as I don't want them to crack or anything. Then again, every time I use it adds to its value.

My second SAK was also a gift from my parents for graduation -- Cybertool 34 (M). That's also an incredibly useful toolset, especially for the kind of work I do. I've bought all the rest since (now at around 20).

Wow. That's a wonderfully sentimental piece. Beautiful.

I'm not familiar with that model. It does seem like it has an amazing all-around tool set.  :like:
