I'm bored...
on: June 15, 2012, 09:35:26 PM
One hour and thirty minutes to go on a Friday afternoon, and I'm bored with work. I have plenty of paperwork to do, but I would rather be home doing nothing with some beer.

Never underestimate the power of the fleece

Try working in a toy shop mate. You'll learn new meanings of pain as you feel like your being digested for a thousand years
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

True, reading the forum does offer some diversion. :)

I don't know, working in a toy shop sounds like it might be fun..

I made it home anyway. Usually by bedtime on Sunday I'm all relaxed and unwound for another week ahead. :-\

You what I remember? I distinctly remember sitting in grade school, watching a film about the 21st century, and how machines will reduce the workload of man, and the work week will be more relaxed and shorter, and how everyone will have more free time with a better lifestyle.

I got ripped off >:(

I remember those films too- and the best I have is a Roomba.  Where's my Rosie?

Other things that I've been let down on in my life:
  • "If you install this computer at work, you'll cut your paper use in half"
  • "This is the last -fill in the blank- you will ever have to buy"
  • "I will make a difference" (spoken by any politician)
  • "If you make this one change I will never bug you about anything again" (spoken by any wife or girlfriend)
  • "As soon as the company starts making money I'll see that you are taken care of"
  • "Don't worry, I'm nothing like my mother" (wife, girlfriend again...)
Never underestimate the power of the fleece

I have heard all of those myself- the sad thing is, they apparently work, or they wouldn't still be in use!
