This new Dark Blue Harvester with Red-Shield is really nice.  The blue is a lot darker than I expected, even though I expected it to be dark.

Took my dSLR out of moth balls recently, so I thought I'd use it for a couple of SAK pictures.

Same here in re: the can opener . I do however use it's cousin the Electrician + quite a bit . If I ran across a Harvester at the right price , I'd snag it ( I do a bit of gardening ) .

There has been a couple new additions to the Harvester series lately :D, but I've just got one right now.  This new Grey Harvester with a black shield outline is a real looker.  Much better in person than the pictures I've seen.  I think it's hard to capture in a photo without spending some time and being careful.  The anodizing seems to have a very slight green bias which makes the grey color kind of shimmer. This one has a keyring, which I don't care for because of how they dig into your hand on these Alox models, but luckily if I need to make it a user the attachment point can be easily removed.

My supply of these sold out in two days. This is one of the most beautiful SAKs I've ever seen and I'm kicking myself for not keeping one for my collection  :twak: Oh well.......

All good Victorinox SAKs start life in Ibach Switzerland... some times they make a trip to a workshop and get transformed though.

These come from a special-run for collectors and enthusiasts it's a limited edition of 50 knives, numbered and dated.  You have to get them direct from Switzerland, through Felinevet here in the US, or watch ebay a couple are usually offered there.

Best to watch the forum, and the Felinevet store on edcsource.

SwissBianco and commissions lots of colorful SAKs. Currently copper and bright-lime green/Toxic Green are available on a few models.  I like dealing with SwissBianco Canada which also lists on ebay.

Felinevet (check under the "Limited Runs and Special Editions')

SwissBianco Canada (buying them direct rather from ebay will normally save a few dollars)

That one is so cool   I voted Harvester, but I had recently discovered some of the versatility of the can opener, whereas the pruner blade is just that-a blade.  However, its shape allows some versatility in itself though.  Although I actually would prefer the Electrician Plus as I like that utility blade a bit better than the pruner blade.

Yes i love it   :tu:

I also like the Rancher but without the saw it is not as good as the Harvester. On picture two of them + a Rancher to the right, both red got old cross.

I love my Harvester.
It's been my "gentleman's" edc since I got it from Reinier :)
And with gentleman I really mean gentleman, it lives in the pocket of either of my 2 vests (or 'gilets' en français).
In olden times a pochet watch would live in those little pockets, but since I have the time on my iPhone, I decided that it was a good place for my Harvester  >:D
I think it's classy :D
I must agree with you. A gentleman needs a good companion knife. Mine if the MiniChamp, which I'm considering an upgrade to the Harvester.

Do advertising knives count ? Last year I found a black Harvester (NIB) with a small laser etched advertising on the engraving plate on the backside.

Great find! Until now I was not aware of an existing black Harvester!

Duder, where is the picture? And how much are you selling it for?

The curved blade on my Rancher looks cool but in reality, do I use it?
I think the reason the Farmer is more popular is simply that people more often need the small screwdriver than they need an awkward, cat claw of a blade.

The pruner blade is awesome. I use it to cut through clamshell packages, tape, cardboard, etc. Victorinox advertises it as being good for cutting linoleum among other things. I personally prefer the standard Harvester to the standard Farmer, for the small secondary blade and no ring. Both models are excellent SAKs.
