Ok, since 21st May, you can supposedly only fill out Customs Forms online for international shipments.  Too bad the online forms require you to know the weight of the package.  Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't imagine most people have postal-grade scales just sitting around their houses; bathroom scales, yes, but they're hardly precise.

Unless I can find a scale on the cheap, I'm just going to say smurf it and stop sending stuff internationally; I'm doing more for the postal service in terms of getting paperwork filled out than they are at this point.

And since the postal service now has to do less work, they'll probably put the prices up!

I bought one from Walmart for $25. Works fine and no problems so far :tu:
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I'm going by the local Good Will and ReStore; one of the two had an analog postal scale a while back for $5; I'm going to see if they still have it.

It's a matter of principle to me; if a place loses my goodwill, they lose my patronage, regardless of what the place may be.

[Edit:  I ended up using an old Toledo weighing scale for the packages.  Apparently, if you ship a package through an actual post office, and not a contract station, you can still use handwritten customs forms and have them weigh the package(s) for you.]
