Once again some very good looking kits there.  I like the yellow set, nice and easy to see if you put them down.  :)

i´ve never even seen blast match in my life,it seems good though.i have some basic firesteels from LMF etc, this aurora i fixed a bit and it works too,and rat cutlerys fire kit,its a bit large to be in small survival kit but its good for rucksack or somethin.and also few small ones that i dont want to use cause im afraid ill crack em in pieces, theyre like 3/16",tiny ones.

The Blast Match is the best firesteel on the moment, no doubt about it! The ability to shield wind with one hand and shoot sparks into your tinder with the other makes two handed firesteel's look inferior!  :D

It's made out of carbide.. So you will most likely wear out the firesteel before the integrated striker!  By the way, welcome back!

so theres a spring creating pressure, thru carbide striker to the firesteel itself?  :o

i thought it has some kind of bent leafspring kind of sharpened steell inside.and i thought that it must weaken in time.
it looks good since u can use it with one hand, and has the small storage too.

im not back, man :D,im just a nail of coffin at most :-\.

im havin a day off,and just chilled with my gf as im headin to laplnad again at tomorrow evening, for 80 kilometer trip that takes like week or so.although i enjoy and love nature and hiking,at this time im pretty frustrated and exhausted but hey, summer is waiting.

Does anyone has a video or something comparing regular firesteel and misch steel like on RAT kit? I've never seen how misch works.

I put some Masur Birch scales on a couple of Corona sharpeners. This one has the best looking wood of the two.
