Very nice :salute: However, again, Spartans? Or Sportsmen?

Personally I would prefer that Victorinox puts more effort into metal and wood limited SAK parts rather than scale imprints and printed paper and cardboard. At least they could put a bit more consistent SAKs in these fancy collector sets or switch the SAK models a bit. A bit more variety also via actual SAK materials and tools selection, not just scale imprints and packaging.

Sorry, I do not mean to try to derrail this thread and the series design (less the SAKs themselves) looks good. Just my 2c of overall impression for the later similar series, if I am allowed to comment :D

Actually, to correct a bit myself: great (and some unusual) scale colors as well behind the imprints  :tu:

All the Chinese Zodiac knives shown are Climbers.
I really like these limited edition gift sets as they are very different to anything else i've seen so far. And I think the packaging complements each knife perfectly.

Gift sets like this with alox or wooden scale knives would be great as well.
You never know what may happen in the future I guess.

My bad, should have observed the hook on the back. Why no pic to show the layers? Got me scared that here is again a series of Spartans in fancy paper clothes :twak: to me

I take my words back. These are awesome for what they are.

The Rat knife is really nice.
I don't know if this colour scale has been used before?
The green on the Pig knife is also really cool and quite a bright shade of green.  8)

From the photos the Pig scales look to resemble a bit the color of stayglow scales when brought from light to dark, green-yellow. Very cool cellidor color and I think, unique.

I have not seen the Rat color scales either. And the Ox red seems unusual, lighter and different than the regular Victorinox cellidor red - am I right? Both of these may be unique as well. Both look cool to me.

The only colors that might be available on other SAKs, but without the applied graphic imprints, would be the Rooster yellow and Monkeys white. Or is that Rooster yellow also different put aside of a regular yellow cellidor? Regardless, yellow and white are in my opinion two of the nicest cellidor colors anyway.

There only made for the Chinese market and are not sold officially anywhere else as far as I know.
The earlier sets in the series are not that easy to find now.
And the prices can vary a lot depending on the rarity, condition and edition number etc.

2012 is the year of the Dragon.
Which I also have.  :salute:
