Anyone know how well the steel on the file would be able to handle light prying jobs?

Not well, lesson learned the hard way.  It's hardened, so makes it tougher to wear but is more likely to break instead of bend.

Yeah, a file is so brittle, and the sharp teeth create little stress risers along its entire length.....it will snap with the least bit of prying pressure.
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Maybe drawing pins or staples  ???
A mini prybar is the way to go. Maybe even mod it to replace a blade in the wave ?

Nope. Tried it and it wasn't great for the pivots.

I was thinking in making one myself but making it detachable so it won't break the pivot.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Nope. Tried it and it wasn't great for the pivots.

Was that due to the strain on the pivots or the design of them ?
What about using the tool/scredriver bit adaptor and a pry bar to fit into it or even a pry bar to fit like the adaptor does ?

The stress to the pivots will be the same, or -if the prybar in the adaptor is longer - even higher than with an inline prybar. I have stuffed a mini prybar in my MT sheath. It´s more versatile than connected to my MT and you won´t stress the MT pivots.

Seems like the best way to go  :tu:

The file will definitely snap (like mine). The best option would be replacing one of the tools with a mini pry bar. Might actually try it myself.
