You know, I do love the patterns of Damascus steel, but with your knives, Seved, the blade shape, the blade/handle proportions and the handles themselves are beautiful.  The Damascus pattern almost takes away from the esthetic of the knife and its construction.

Maybe a subtler Damascus pattern, would work well.

As a side note, I have not found Damascus steels to outperform the modern "super Steels".

(As a sidenote, I must confess, that while watching TV, I do enjoy just handling my Seved fixed blade, pulling it from the sheath and turning it in my hand.  :))

Yes i know what you mean, its very easy that the pattern, can make the rest of the knife to disapear. I think many looks at the pattern first in a Damask knife. You can put very exclusive handlematerials and stuff on it, it doesent matter :) Damasksteel has that mysterios legends and such that exists around it. I like it :) But i am the maker, so it dont counts lol . Thats for other to deside. :)

Yes i agree with you there, Damasksteel isnt better then modern steel, it was early in the steel history, that the Damasksteel was better then plain steel.

LOL that warming a knifemakers heart, i am so glad that you like it so much :D  :climber: Its a big knife in a small package, a Swedish buyer said. He said that i had come up with the ultimate EDC :D .
