UK weather sucks

Are we going to get a summer this year    we just canceled the beach hut we had booked for over 2 weeks time as cant afford to throw money away  i really hope we get some sun soon as this crappy weather sucks

We got the exact same weather here (actually it's coming from you Brit guys  ),
but what the heck: I got three weeks off work, so we're just getting the best out of it..

I'm in the middle of laying our patio. No joking its taken me over 2 months now purely because of the weather 
I joked with the Mrs that maybe we should cancel the patio and lawn and just build an enormous roof lol..
The other option was to start gathering 2 of every animal

I don't usually mind the rain, but it is a tad excessive atm

Mind you it is keeping the tempreture and pollen down so it's not all bad

Im still sneezing mike, infact i was up and awake at 4.50am sneezing my head off  I also think my fence guy is made of tin as been waiting on him doing my fence for 2 weeks,

he could be the tin man    and price of oil is up

This summer really sucks mate.
I just hate riding my bike every day in wind and rain. I have no car. 
My holiday for 2 (rainy) weeks ends monday. Still hoping for some sunshine on sunday, tomorrow. Doesn't look like it.   

I did see a lot Tour de France on TV. The britts are doing fantastic!

This summer really sucks mate.
I just hate riding my bike every day in wind and rain. I have no car. 
My holiday for 2 (rainy) weeks ends monday. Still hoping for some sunshine on sunday, tomorrow. Doesn't look like it.

yeah i only ride as well mate, its anoying as sometime sunny am so i ride to work with no jacket as too hot and then it pee's down so i ride home and get wet    yep doing well in the tour

It is vile, and difficult to remain good humoured about after weeks of it

I'm still sneezing too - not sure why or how the allergens are making it up my nose, but they are!

The sad thing is that it's such a huge year for for the UK, with the Jubilee and Olympics etc, and all of it will be remembered by the torrential downpours.

my nose doesnt know if its coming or going chrissy as it plays up everytime the weather changes, its sunny at the moment but cold in my house    but the sky is covered with clouds so wont be long before more rain    im going out on my bike monday and then popping into the hopsice to visit a friend , i hope im not dripping wet

I'm still struggling to get around with my stupid broken toe, so I can't even run from the rain every time I get caught in it

   i seem to get caught in it everytime i go out on my bike as well    one of my old dogs hated the rain and kept pee'ing in the house    was a nightmare, i had to almost drag her out, although my last lurcher loved it and the sea, dogs can be odd like that

Bad weather could deny male spectators the sight of tanned and toned athletes cavorting in bikinis.

Tickets for matches have been among the most sought after of the Games. British pair Zara Dampney and Shauna Mullin caused a traffic jam when they trained in skimpy outfits in Parliament Square, Central London.

But warnings of continuing cool, wet weather this month threaten to put a dampener on things if the girls don frumpy shirts and leggings.

Shauna, 27, said: “Once the temperature drops below 16°C we are allowed to wear long leggings and long-sleeved tops.”

So, now to make matters worse the nights are drawing in  - with noticable effect.

And, believe me - I HATE those long dark winter nights - Hate them...

Even if August picks up, we'll only see september before the temperature begins to drop.

Had potential this am, but by 10 was dark and a hour later it was raining  all my work was indoors today so i didnt mind, the guys outside doing works pipes wasnt so happy       oh well i was nice and dry

Can we somehow make this thread invisible to outsiders? I've been trying to talk my GF into moving abroad (the Netherlands and Scotland currently being my most prominent choices), and she hates rain and cold weather... We've been having 30+ Celsius for the past couple of months (and more like 40 the last 10-15 days), going to the beach every other day or so, and she thinks that summer came late this year.
