What kind of Multitool and SAK does Les Stroud use on his show?

I am sure that you guys have discussed this before, but lets see if you guys can tell after watching a bunch more shows.

During his "bicycling" the Utah canyon lands, he definately had a Swisstool :multi:

I am sorry, I totally forgot about the Swisstool!

SO he uses a Huntsman, LM Original Wave, LM Charge Ti, and lastly a SwissTool! He must have problems because he owns more than one tool!  :P

Though I enjoy my first season DVD, the one thing that drives me nuts(though it might be important to survival) is see man a** :ahhh

I'm pretty sure I've seen him use a Spirit, too. Definitely know the SwissTool and a Leatherman or two....

I LOVE Survivorman. OTOH I don't really like Man vs Wild. It seems to me he takes stupid risks that could get people killed.

Most people already consider Man Vs Wild a joke.  There's threads over at Bladeforums (in the Wilderness and Survival) forum about how lame that guy is and how many of the scenes were faked, and his hotel stays while "in the bush".

Survivorman on the other hand is great, although I've only seen his show on Youtube...it's grainy, but no commercials :D

I'd rather watch the camera guy following Bear. His job's tougher than Bear's!  ;)

I agree. While I'm sure Bear would out-survive me in almost any wilderness scenario, I think he takes chances for the sake of tv. Some, maybe a lot, of activities he partakes just wouldn't be smart or practical in a survival scenario. OTOH, Survivorman's the feline's backside, IMO. Les's whole approach seems more attuned to what a typical person lost in the wild would undergo.

The amount of times Bear Grylls chas climbed up/down a waterfall with either his bare hands or a vine like its a smarter idea than finding a safer way up or down is ridiculous, likewise in another episode he made some flimsy bamboo bridge between two sides of a narrow gorge with a river a hundred feet below instead of just finding a safer crossing, I was glad when that story about a lot of it being faked appeared.

I wish Les Stroud or Ray Mears would make a new series, its been years since either of them released anything.

I thought Survivorman with Les was a current show

And since when did all these "spoof" Survivorman vids on Youtube appear?  I can't find any REAL episodes on there!

Les needs to do an Ozark Mountain survival trip. How to survive in the Ozark woods without attracting the attention of "amorous hillbillies".

I think that's Bear in that one....? I don't remember Les ripping up a h/a/b but I do remember Bear doing that in one episode...he also stares down a family of elephants in that one, IIRC.

Yep, that was a good one. I liked how he plan to use the hot air jets to ward off lions. That was great.
