Can any one provide any information to correct or clarify the information about these models?

GigaHz uploaded an image to the Wiki labeled Large Snap Shackle, but it appears even larger (9 layers vs. 8 ) than what we have recorded as the Large Snap Shackle.

9-Layer - Snap Shackle Unknown-1

Snap Shackle - Large   8-layers (no pliers), nail-file instead of small blade, tool order differs).

The large nine-layer with snap shackle is the 'Serrated Tool Chest', #16406.

Shows up in the 2001 catalog, but not the 2003.

---------------------------

The Large Snap Shackle was sold in Europe as part of the 'Bardane' series (apparently a flower).

It's number is 16951 / 1.69.02

.....

Thanks this seems to make sense. I could not find it in the  1991 pdf catalog though. Was there a version of this with the nailfile instead of the small blade?

The three pictures I have of the Large Snap Shackle/Bardane, and the one I have, all have nail files. Don't have anything on a version with a small clip blade.

The only info I have on the Serrated Tool Chest is probably from the 2001 catalog. It shows a small clip blade. I didn't see it in the 1992 download, though I might have missed it.

Since there's a 'Serrated Tool Chest' and a 'Tool Chest Plus', I assume at one point there was a 'Tool Chest'. However I've never come up with info on one.

It's listed on the wiki, information from the 1991 catalog I presume, which is why I was looking there for the serrated version.

I have that model as 'Car Driver Pro', apparently a European name. More grey hair.  :ahhh

I have a Tool Chest, but without the car logo ... just to make your brain hurt that little bit more  :D

Thanks for the information!
What I find quite strange about this knife is the use of both the snap shackle and the keychain.
It is the only model I have ever saw with both those tools.

I bought that from Felinevet. I am assuming it is not a mod.

Brightened up the pic a bit since we don't have another one.

Good point... interesting, maybe we'll come agross more examples over time.

If you like;  the light leaking through on the bottom of your original image confused the automatic exposure of the camera.  We're happy to at least have this one, thanks!  I've not change the picture on the wiki yet... have some other "PRIORITY" wenger stuff to post thanks to a member here... what for the news.

I think SM5K is off now for more serious reasons.  The move was completed long ago.

... but hey no worries I updated the wiki with the retouched photo so we're good.
