Ranger pliers: not aligned?

Maybe this is bothering me more than it should, but the pliers on my new RangerGrip 75 don't seen to meet right. One side of the head comes up short against the other, and there seems to be a fair gap in the wire cutter. It's certainly not like any of the other tools that I have, and from the few Wenger knives I have (which I very much like), I sort of expect better. I actually was going to send this back to Amazon and requested a replacement from them, but the new knife isn't any different (slightly better in the alignment, slightly worse in the gap). So I'm wondering if this is normal, or do I have really bad luck?

This looks a bit too much for a swiss product. Since it is bothering you and you are not happy with it you should sent it back.

I don't have any of those type of pliers but that for sure isn't what I'd expect from the swiss.

The word from Wenger is that this is normal and acceptable, but I'm not happy with it (especially for the cost) so I returned it and put the refund towards a Spirit RT. I've got a Ranger 179 PER and it's brilliant, but I think I'll stay away from the fold-out pliers from now on.

That's too bad, I had one of those on my want list too.  I might try the fold out shears instead now.
