I think it needs bigger rims!!  :ahhh

They're not a too bad looking car though, and probably a nicer drive than the Accent would have been.

I can't believe all the leaves that are down there already!  Ours are just starting to fall, and I'm thinking I might need a leaf blower to blow them all into the neighbours yard  >:D

Actually the car is almost covered by leaves now!

Here are a few pics from the walk I took with my brother's dog this morning.

That was around eight or nine this morning. Its about fifteen degrees now.  My brother went kayaking then and he wanted a record of the temperature!

Here's a few more from when my father, brother and I went paddling.

The leaves are coming down with a vengeance.  My rental car was pretty well covered by lunchtime yesterday!

Still, it looks like everyone is having a pretty good time!  My nephews and their mother are headed home today but my brother (and his dog) are staying the rest of the week to spend more time with me which I think is great. Plus of means I'll have some company on the drive back to Toronto when I head back.

Here's a few photos from my paddling trip today. My brother and I covered just under 15 kms on the Blind and Cataract rivers as well as Lake Duborne.  We were out for about three and a half hours and came back just before the weather got nasty. The wind was starting to pick up pretty good and the waves were crashing over the bow of my brother's boat pretty good.

It was a bit chilly today, but oh so worth it!

My vacation is pretty well over. Last night I left my parent's house and drove to my brother's place just outside of Toronto and I spent the night on his couch. I'm headed out shortly to have brunch with an old friend from high school then I'm heading downtown to return the car and head for the airport.  From there it'll be off to Montreal and then home around midnight and back to work tomorrow.

At first glance I read Burlap museum and started thinking, how the hell starts a burlap museum and how in hell would ever visit a burlap museum

Don't get started- there's a Outhouse Museum a couple of hundred kilometers from where I live, and they actually promote it as the World's FIRST Outhouse Museum, which implies that there are others....

Anyways, I drove to Toronto last night and spent the night at my brother's place, then this morning I left there and went to visit an old friend of mine.  I had breakfast with her family then set ,off to return my rental car.  From there I took a cab to the ferry terminal, took the ferry about 150 feet to the airport.  Now I'm in the airport lounge killing time until my flight leaves.  They put me on a slightly later flight than I was originally booked on for some reason, so I get to sit here a little longer and spend a little less time in Montreal.

My personal favorite in the category «Who visits those places, is this a joke?»: The Norwegian Marsh Museum. It is located on Smøla, a not very central or populous island.

I am now in Montreal and have an hour and a half or so to kill before my next flight.  After this my next stop is in Halifax, then a half hour (or so) drive home to Halifax.  As much as I didn't want my vacation to end, I'll be really happy to get home.  I love flying but I hate being baggage on a commercial flight.  Guys who have actually flown in a small craft will understand what I am talking about- it's the difference between having your own car or taking the bus, only with a lot more bullsmurf to put up with.

One of these days....

I'm home safe and sound.  I got in late last night then at work again today.  My house didn't fall apart while I was gone, although I "fixed" the dishwasher by resetting the tripped breaker that my wife insisted wasn't tripped while I was gone...  >:D

I love my family and vacations are nice, but it's nice to be back home, despite home being busy as hell.

And, since no one asked, I gave my father a SOG PowerLock since he lost his PowerAssist, and I brought along my CRKT Neckolas (as well as two others-one for my father and one for my brother) for kayaking, my Wenger Swiss Clipper for most things and my MTO SOG ToolClip (yes the same one we MAY be giving away this month!   :pok:) for assembling toys for the kids and general tasks.  All packed nicely in my Wenger SwissGear luggage... :D

Yeah, it often seems that you need at least a few extra days to get into the swing of things when you get back.

Still, I have a pretty good job and it won't take long to get my feet under me again- literally I think, as I have a 14 hour day ahead of me tomorrow!   :ahhh
