SOG parts in a LM
on: October 01, 2012, 05:49:19 AM
Are SOG parts compatible with LMMT's? Retired my PST II from my duty belt. I have an older Wave that I don't carry. Looking at the V cutter to change out with the standard blade. I carry a large folder so it's not really needed.

I am curious about this myself. I would like to put the SOG awl into my Wave.

I've seen it done here, but I think it involved a little grinding to reshape the tools.

I tried looking at a SOG saw in a PST II and that was a no-go, however I was successful in putting the PST II's scissors and file in a SOG PPP. Once you start looking at the more modern tools, you're OK with such as the Kick but the locking notch needs widening on each SOG implement to get it to lock on a Blast or Wave. Pivot and tang are otherwise OK

Locking notch is not a problem. I was just wondering if the pivots were compatible.
