Is it me or SOG doesn't sell it anymore? I was looking to outfit a paratool (which came with not one, but TWO spacers  ::) ), but to my dismay it's no longer on their website.

I also searched for one a few months ago without any success. Lets me know if you happen to find them somewhere!

Thanks Allen, will do.

I was thinking maybe we could grind the phillips into robertson, but after took a look there isn't enough metal to do that. Oh well, there goes the special place of SOG multitool in Canadians' heart lol.  :P You'd think sell a 10 cents piece for $10 is pretty good business, but apparently not.

I was also under the impression that the paratool plier head can be opened easily one handed, but the leatherman like pressure ramp makes it one of the hardest plier to one hand open and close.

When I added a Robbie to my PPP, I had to buy it off eBay, and the seller only had BO ones left.
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.

Grinding an existing part sure seems like the easiest way to go.  Way more work to make one up from scratch.. hmmm..

It would, but I don't see any current tool that can be modified easily. Since robertson head is slightly wider than the standard implement, you'd have to start with something with enough width like phillips, 1/4" driver, or c4 spike, but those are either not enough metal or way too much metal.

I honestly think that a much better plan would be to work a 1/4" bit driver in somewhere and a couple of pockets in the sheath for a few extra bits.  That way users could carry the bits they use most often regardless of what they use.

The problem I have with the SOG Robertson isn't with the SOG Robertson itself, it's that it's the wrong size for most of the screws I encounter.  The other issue is when I encounter a Torx head- Robertsons don't work so well on them.... or Posidrives.... or Phillips..... or hexes.... but if I had a bit driver I could carry all of them.   :pok:

One of these days I'm going to buy a small ratcheting screwdriver and cut it apart so that it fits inside a PowerLock handle.  That would be awesome, even if I lose all the other implements on that side.

I bought a small ratcheting bit driver (similar to the Vic one) at Princess Auto a while back with the intent to mod it into a Powerlock but the handle was made of two side slabs connected by a plastic bracket around the edges.  When I cut the plastic bracket to chop down the handle to fit the PowerLock, everything fell apart.

Just a residual page I think.  Its not listed in the index, and if you try to add it, it says they arent available.

I was emailing SOG's support last week and inquired about the Robby. He said they are thinking of putting it back in. I was originally asking about the wire stripper and if it came in BO. Even though it doesn't show on their site he said they have them and to make a note of it when I order it. I went to order tonight and the page says they don't ship outside of the U.S. I guess it's off to the bay. Too bad because I ordered a Robby bit a few years ago from the SOG site and the shipping was free to Canada.

Leatherman has been including Robertson bits in my purchases. Makes perfect sense when you export to the country where the Robertson screw head was invented.

Looks like they still do ship to Canada. Just a bug with their new website.
