With all the discussions lately about off road vehicles, ATVs, quad bikes and canoes I thought this may be of interest:

This is the Gibbs Quadski, an amphibian that operates as both an ATV and a personal watercraft. Although it looks like set dressing for HBO’s Eastbound & Down, we can attest that the Quadski is real—Gibbs says it will be on sale by mid-November.

That's pretty cool! I've seen lots of the six and eight wheeled amphibious rigs (we call them Max's) on the trails but they're not very quick or nimble.

$40k seems a bit much for me- you could get a nice quad, trailer and jet ski for that.

Cool idea though- if it catches on and the prices become reasonable I'd be all over one!

Agreed, price sucks, but but if the concept proves to be viable, it will come down in price.
