Building Fire a block away

Kim and I watched some of the drama out our bedroom window.  This is the second fatal fire in this area in the last couple of weeks, and the 4th or 5th in our area since we moved in here 8 years ago.  That's the big problem with older neighborhoods- lots of really nice old dry wood just waiting for a spark, and when it comes... WHOOSH!

The winter has brought an unusual number of fatal fires here in and around Bisonland. Last month two children were killed in a trailer fire in my county,and last week a mother and 3 of her children died in a house fire in the adjacent county.Old buildings,lack of smoke detectors,lax code enforcement,guaranteed to bring tragedy.

geez that's scary. my prayers to those families. last night while on the computer here
I heard the weirdest electrical buzzing not far from me, like from a movie, then I go investigate
and smell some burning. we checked everything and a circuit in the front room is out
and we don't know what exactly happened (yet), so those stories really open my eyes today!
