Queen going tactical

They look ugly to me...

Queen Cuttlery has new owners that are trying new things, to help the company.

Reminds me of Case xx efforts last year.... Did anybody buy any of their lower cost line? Are they out yet?

I actually like the looks of those.  Way, way better than the crap that Case put their name on, anyways.

This reminds me of a period during the 90s when the Back Street Boys changed their name to NKOB and changed their image to "gangsta" to try and fit in with the new gansta trend. Well needless to say it didnt work and that the last you heard of them.
Not that i listened to them or anything
My point is, Queen makes great slippies and thats what they are known for and thats what they should stick to. My favorite slippie I own is a Queen congress.
Queen should no more attempt to enter the tactical folding knife market than Strider enter the slippie market. Stick to what you know and you can't go wrong.

How this works though is Ken Daniels bought company and he's a traditional guy (use to half own GEC) then his son vise president Ryan Daniels has always liked tactical knives also so they are doing a little mixing. I've spoken with Ryan a few times in the last month about something I'm planning to work with them on and I'm excited to see how it plays out. I wish Queen the best and hope they have a long future ahead. I'm super stoked to try out the new green micarta mountain man.

Ash's mobile on the move.

Those pieces are more properly Gent's knives , than Tac's .

I'd be curious to see one .

Ooo I have a crush on Al Mar!  :)

Edit: the Queen looks really nice for EDC, very functional, great shape and handle, but it depends on (consistent) the fit & finish.

Queen calls those knives tactical? Why? Because they used a different handle material? Because mall ninja's need another knife? Only an officer would take a shiny pocket knife into a "tactical" situation. Wonder how well that will work?

Marketing morons...

Hey, if Al Mar can call their knives tactical, so can Queen.  Frankly I they're beautiful knives and if they come in at a decent price point I'll probably buy one.

And, well, they are one-handed opening locking knives.  Might as well call it tactical if only to differentiate from the rest of Queen's product line.
