"Non Tool Forum" Mis-named?

I just realized the "Non Tool Forum" section seems really mis-named.  I think we should choose a new name for it, and start 2013 with more clarity.

My first suggestion is the "Less Sharp Tool Forms", because "Dull Tool Forum" just does not sound good either.  Flashlights are definetly important tools so I think it's time to name this section correctly.

Maybe the original intent was the "Non Multitool Forum" and the shorting of the name kind of changed its meaning?

Or maybe the Flashlight forum should just be moved to the "Tool Talk" section?

I think it makes sense the way it is myself... multitools are not flashlights, and this is multitool.org, which would suggest we generally mean multitool by the word tool.

You know, I've often thought about this- that a flashlight is an important tool and maybe it should be in Tool Talk rather than Non Tool.  I mean, I can't imagine an even mildly equipped toolbox without a flashlight.

However, they aren't multitools, but then for clarity perhaps this should be "Multitool Talk" and "Non Multitool Talk" rather than too and non tool.  To be honest, I never really liked the name "non tool" so I'm happy to change it if we come up with something better.

We've never been huge sticklers here for what goes where, or what label gets put on what, but I'm up for a little reorganizing if folks think something else would make more sense.

I would agree to moving the flashlight forum but renaming the non-tool forum would have to be a better name than "less sharp" (not that there's anything wrong with that). I've been kicking this one around all evening and still nothing.

Feel free to kick it around for a bit if you like.  We plan to be here a good long while and we can change things pretty well any time.

According to wiki the tools in the tool forum are part of "hand tools" "cutting and abrasive tools" and maybe "garden tools". Flashlights fall in "Other tools" category. I think you're best off leaving the "tools forum" and have a forum with "other gear", which includes carrying methods and electronic gear...

From my pow a flashlight isn't a tool, it's simply a piece of equipment that can give light so you can see when it's dark. Belonging in a toolbox or not, it still doesn't makes it a tool, so keeping it in the Non Tool forum is just fine by me..

If you grab the dictionary alongside then a flashlight fits in the:

tool 
1.an implement, especially one held in the hand, as a hammer, saw, or file, for performing or facilitating mechanical operations.
2.any instrument of manual operation.
3.the cutting or machining part of a lathe, planer, drill, or similar machine.
4.the machine itself; a machine tool.
5.anything used as a means of accomplishing a task or purpose: Education is a tool for success.

And one could make a case for 1. as well IMO. Perhaps explain why it isn't a tool
