The Doomsday ship always reminded me of a cone of crumpled tin foil. Struck me like some of the old OLD Dr. Who effects.

edit: also my favorite TOS ep was always 'Balance of Terror', the introduction of the Romulans.

Actually it's always reminded me of one of those "Bugles" potato chips.
