Curse of the Buck 37* series...
on: December 30, 2012, 08:16:13 AM
So I have been trying to get a buck 373 or similar for a bit as it seems like something I would use.

I ordered a couple from eBay (seller shenqirun, both new) a 371 and a 379. After being told repeatedly to wait as he/she had run out of stock for over a month I had my money refunded.

Then a few days back I once again ordered a 373, used (seller leia1988) and today I get this message:
"I apologize, but when I went to ship the knife off I realiized that this one( this is the last one   I had several) had one blade missing. So I am refunding you your money.

Both sellers seemed genuine, with good feedback...

I will try again, thought I suspect it is not meant to be......   ???

How on Earth can a knife have a blade missing?  I am only guessing it was new, but could it really have left the factory with bits missing? :o
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

dks said the second one he ordered was used and as it's a multi-blade knife I'm guessing the blade was broken off.  Good luck to you on finding a good one, dks :salute:

thanks!

Yes the 2nd one was used. I really like them but the price for them is around $17-$30+ plus shipping and I just cannot convince myself that a Chinese Buck, with nice looks, is worth that much.
I can get a Case xx sodbuster or a Buck 110 for about that much or a GEC Farm & Field for just a bit more. Heck, I can get a Ganzo that looks similar for 12.50…..
So, I have been trying to get one cheap by bidding or buying used.

I have a bunch of the Chinese made Buck slippies.  They're nice knives, but not at those prices....

You made me do it    :D  :D  :D

I placed a low offer on a Ganzo to see what happens...

I expect it will be rejected.

Maybe I will find a cheap buck soon... I have plenty to keep me ammused anyway..

The 1st ones I won were at a really good price, combined shipping, total cost for both $26.....
