If you like the grip then yes its a good idea if you've never owned a grip I'd suggest looking at other folders in that price range. The Ash Mobile Voom Voom
I don't own this one but the BM stuff I own is excellent, especially anything with the Mel Pardue markings by them.
How about a spyderco para military 2. The brown g-10 one has s35v which in my opinion is better the s30v. S35v is the same steel my sebenza has. They are sometimes hard to find but I know where you can get one if you want. Around $150 and a much better knife imo and its made in Golden Colorado. I hate the cheap junk feel of the handles on the grip. I think for the price they could at least use g-10 or something......The Ash Mobile Voom Voom
Spydie brown so you get the s35v. The Ash Mobile Voom Voom
Ok great choice and glad I could help. The Ash Mobile Voom Voom
I've had two minigrips and sold them both. They are okay knives, but for the material (hollow plastic handle) even the regular price is pushing it given the many fine choices from other makers, and they certainly aren't $150 knives. If you really really love them, or have money burning a hole in your pocket go for it, but otherwise no. I'd rather spend the same money on something like this, but your taste may not be same as mine.
I recently picked up a Benchmade Bone Collector Axis Mini. It has the same basic blade shape as the Mini Griptitilian with the thumb hole. However the blade steel is D2 and flat ground. The grooved black and green G10 handle is grippy enough and the blade opens like a dream. I first saw one at Bass Pro Shops for $124.95, which I thought was too much. I was able to get mine for significantly less. When I compared the Bone Collector Mini to a standard Mini Griptilian, I found that I prefer the Bone collector. It feels larger and more secure in the hand. I cosider it a small/medium size as opposed to a true mini. The Mini Grip felt too small in my hand. The Bone Collector is supposed to be my away from work knife. I'm liking it so much that my Triage may lose some pocket time.Considering the quality materials and price, I would recommend the Bone Collector Axis knives ahead of the Griptilians.
Unless I misread my knife, the Bone Collector Axis Mini is supposed to be USA made. Not hijack the thread, but if you like the Mora, shoot me a PM and we might can make a deal. I've also got a Mini Griptilian listed. . .
