Pirahna sheath?
on: January 08, 2013, 02:40:30 AM
I've been carrying a Pirahna for a two weeks, and while I'm loving it and think it is a great addition to my EDC, it is still in my bag and not my pocket. So, what I'm looking for is a sheath, preferably kydex or similar, with an eyelet either big enough to put a key biner through or a split ring.

But no one has anything like it.

While it might be a bit large for your needs, you could use a Pock-Its XL sheath and carry a multi, knife, light, Piranha and a pen comfortably.

Failing that, maybe you could work with Metroplocity on a custom Skinth.

I can make a Skinth L-Shield without the side pockets/walls, that would be perfect. Let me know!

If I could afford a Skinth at the moment, I might do just that. And probably a Catchall. And... *laughs* I has hoping for something a little less, just a simple kydex one.

This will probably get me off my butt and buying some Kydex, and now that it's winter and my workspace isn't heated it will have to wait until spring.

Pm me, I have a bunch of laser cut patterns that are off, they can't be made into production Skinths, I can easily sew one up and make it flat.

Limited Colours tho :)

Metro, you ever considered making a mini sheath for a CC widgy?

Stitched on three sides and able to cover as much of the micro widgy as paracord wrap would. The length-width ratio is off in the "pic."

Here is knocked this together in about 5 mins using the old Shield Deisgn. If you want it, PM me :)

Metro, thank you for the thought- put it in your prototypes, it sounds like you might actually have a market for them if Leatherman expands the one piece line.

But I really was looking for something I could hang off a keyring.

Only reference for a Piranha pouch that used to be on PocketToolX's site before Leatherman took them over. Tactical Tailor does not list it on their site. Am guess it is out of production and no longer available.

For me I hate the metal belt clips. they are most uncomfortable to wear. Give me leather or heavy stitched & sealed nylon belt loops any day.
