I took the algebra praxis today (certification test to be an algebra teacher). I made sure I had my favorite SAK in my pocket for luck. Btw, I passed and already have a job lined up.

I've been teaching for about 12 years; most of that was middle school math. I am very excited to be moving over to high school. Next up is studying for the geometry exam. As an older Gen X I'm glad I can still keep learning.

My Victorinox Stalwart

I've posted this knife a couple times before, but I was struggling with what to call it. Today, I decided to ask ai to suggest some names with the qualities of a Spartan and a companion. Out of the many suggestions this was my favorite, and I think it describes it quite well. (Btw,I built this right after I finished the Spartan challenge.  It's the only SAK that regularly takes the place of my Pioneer in my pocket.)

Stalwart: A classic term for someone who is both physically strong (Spartan) and exceptionally dependable (companion).
