SAK Scale Emblems & Inlays
on: February 01, 2013, 03:12:11 AM
What are some of the Victorinox & Wenger Emblems & Inlays used in the past, present, and/or custom scales?

Have a project that has gotten more interesting. Have some Tagua Nut ivory coming in, and was looking for samples, examples, or links to some handsome designs for inspiration.

Not seen any custom inlay work... found a German insignia. There's the typical Wenger & Victorinox emblems too. Am more curious of custom or unique ideas, the simpler the better for my first go round.

Guess I should have posted into another forum?

Some more I found. So far not finding much inspiration past the simple plus or cross sign  :tu:

That oak leaves pattern looks nice.

Here's an assortment of Wenger emblems. Some are model specific; others have been used on several knives.

Input! More Input.  <Johnny 5>

Outstanding logos! Quite more assortment than what I was finding. Makes me wished I had a larger set of bits for my Dremel.

Had thought about cutting out the kangaroo of a 1943 half-penny, looks too big to fit.
Was thinking about inlaid layer. Then had remembered my first inlaid boomerang. When sanding it down the corners did not cooperate as expected.

Still be a few days to ponder the ideas. Most of the supplies were recently shipped. PTRSAK has this one he's working on, a cross ivory Tagua nut inlay
