Is an '80's version of the SAK Victorinox Fisherman rare?

I recently found some of my old MTs.  One was an older Victorinox Fisherman from the '80's.

I haven't been able to find out much about it, so I thought I'd ask you folks if you knew if it was a rare version.

I like the gold fish and shield.   (Pix attached.)

I also found a similar vintage Angler.

Guess I really liked to use the SAKs when I fished as a kid.  :)

Unless I'm missing a trick(which is far from imposable),that tool load matches a SuperTinker. Wouldn't you need a fish scaler for it to be a Fisherman?

It's  regardless of what it is though!

Hi Kirk13-

It has a scale.  I just forgot to open it for the picture.  :/

I wish I remembered where and when I got it.  (I must have bought it at an old hardware store or sporting goods store when I was a teenager.  Spent my hard earned lawn mowing and bag-boy earnings.)

Here is a page that helps age saks. I don't know if it will help here but it is good to have it for the future.

Nhoj -

I don't see the page/link?

Kirk13-

I've attached a couple more pix with the scaler.

Great page!  Thanks.  (Bookmarked it and saved it to Evernote for future reference.)

Looks like the Fisherman must be from 1985 or earlier, as my reamer does not have the sewing eye, and my cap lifter does not have a 90 degree lock.

Andrew,its still

As to value, the back story to it is where the real value comes from!I wish I still had my original Tinker that my dad bought me back in 85.

Or that I could find the smurf who stole it

Agreed.  I think I'll save this and my old Angler for my boy to have.  (He's a bit young now, but in a couple of years could handle them.)

Without sounding mean,I'd keep them til I knew he'd appreciate them! I was thirteen or so when I got my first SAK,and had already been lusting after one for ages!

Kirk13-

Oh, don't worry.  (And, you don't sound mean at all.)  I know EXACTLY what you mean.

When I say I'll give them to him, I don't mean that he'll actually get a hold of them out of my presence.  More accurately, I'll put them in a box for when he gets older, but they'll be his at that time.

In the meantime, his first knives will likely be Boy Scouts of America version of various SAKs.  :)
