Cool Dime discovery
on: January 31, 2013, 08:54:50 AM
So I recently bought the Gerber bit adapter for my MP 400, and I discovered it fits snugly over the  flat driver of my Dime. It actually fits over the file/Phillips driver and package opener but feels best over the flat head. I did some light and medium test with it, and it worked pretty well.  I don't know how useful this may be, considering I probably wouldn't ' carry the adapter without my MP 400, but its still good to know that my favorite Key chain tool just became a little more useful. Hopefully this is useful for some of you.

That's awesome!  I'll have to try that!

I wonder if that was intentional or if it just worked out that way?  :D

That's useful to know.  Just made the Dime even more versatile.  :tu:

This is exactly how I feel. I think I'm going to grind a hex bit into an awl so I can use it with the dime. I've been testing the bit on the dime a little more today and have been happy with it.

 :tu: Nice discovery.

I just did a review of the Dime.  The scissors and tweezers are pants, but the rest of the tool is mighty nifty.

Just got around to trying this and I have to say I am impressed. :tu:  As you say it fits very well with next to no play, I've seen more slop on things that have been designed to go together.  It makes for a surprisingly comfortable screwdriver and can even have the body at 90deg to the bit-driver for some extra torque.
