Am I the Only One Who ....

sees an advertisment of LIDL  on the right "border column" (don't know how to call it, lol) of the site? Moreover, it's in my native language?? Or has it been there before ?!

Not that I know anything about forums & ads, but I'd never ever seen that there before... or am I wrong

Mods can even delete the topic as stupid one, but I was really curious...

Might be the Google ads that got turned on recently. In Firefox, I have ABP & NoScript on, and all of Google's ads are blocked as untrusted. Know the forum needs to many money to keep the site up and all, but I hate adds all over the place.

Used to be able to block a lot of the banner ad feeds in facebook, but the idiots got wise and embedded their ads into the running code. So if you blocked the ads you also couldn't see anything else recognizable by a human.

What browser are you using?

There's usually a way to remove these annoyances ;)

Probably just the ad network which got your IP or some cookie telling it what it needed to give you a "tailored" advert. It's been ads for a long, long while, but your "eye filter" probably helped you ignore it till something you didn't expect, like your native language, popped up. People literally don't see ads when they keep to the expected area of the page, one of the reasons many sites change around their lay-out for no apparent reason.
