Good job Jim! Now the folks at Leatherman will know who we are! Def
On Monday of this week we sent out a survey to all of you via the Nielsen Company, a third party conducting the survey on our behalf. We received questions from many of you about some things we thought we should clear up. First being that yes, this is a legitimate survey from Leatherman. Here are the other two questions we have been getting. “Why did it say I wasn’t qualified, and am I still eligible for the free tool drawing?” Yes! Everyone who answered the screening questions—even if you did not go on to fill out the full survey—has been entered into the drawing for a chance to win one of 10 Leatherman tools. We asked a series of screening questions to filter out those who own a certain type of product. Based on the answer you gave the survey either ended, or went on to ask you more questions. The use of the words, “not qualified”, was both rude and confusing and we have asked Nielsen to re-program the survey as of this morning to change that. Of course everyone we sent it to is more than qualified to give us feedback, but we were, in this case, looking for specific product ownership. “My email didn’t work and it kicked me out.” In order to match each email entered to their correct data information; we have a specific email on file. If you use a different email to enter the survey (some folks have more than one), or when you originally gave it to us it had caps, or lowercase, where you have entered non-caps or non-lowercase, it will kick the user out. Example: if you originally gave us Johndoe@sample.com when you registered your Leatherman and you now entered JOHNdoe@sample.com, it would reject that email. While we know this is not ideal, unfortunately this is the way the third-party system is programmed, and it won’t let you past this point. Please feel free to email us at customerservice@leatherman.com and put “Survey” in the subject and we will get you the exact email we are referencing so you can begin the survey questions. Thank you all so much for your patience and questions. We know your time is valuable and we appreciate you trying to help us out. We apologize for the miscommunication and frustration this may have caused. Hopefully this helps to clear some of that up. Have a great rest of the day.
