Vic Hunter XS vs. Byrd Wings

I've been wanting a knife with both OHO SE and PE blades, found these two so far. Does anyone have them, and care to share some thoughts?
Or alternatives, even?

I have the Wings Slipit and it's an excellent knife  I don't care for locking blades though, so I can't comment on the locking version and the Vic Hunters

How's the comfort when using them with one blade folded? Doesn't the thumb hole buldge dig into your palm?

Sorry Mr Geek, didn't spot this till now  At first it was something I was very conscious of and not really happy about. After a couple or three days carry it wasn't an issue, and now it's not something I notice - although if you were doing heavy work where you had to grip hard it might be a problem

No worries mate, I wasn't in a hurry!

Thanks for the update though. Looks handy to have both kind of blades like that but it doesn't exactly lok ergonomic. As long as it works though.

I don't have an XS, but I do have a Wings, and it should be pretty obvious that you'll get more overall utility from the XS.

For what it is, the Wings is a neat little knife, and I'd say that it's probably a little better for harder cutting tasks than the XS would be, but it's a lot bulkier, and the fit and finish aren't even close to what you get from a Vic.

I don't have a lot of problem with the opposite thumb hole on the Wings, but then I've never used it for a long period of time either.

Ever since I got the Wings I've struggled to find a regular home/use for it.  If I were faced with this decision I'd get the Vic instead.
