I've been to Lowes one or two times, and it struck me as really neat, clean, and organized.  Home Depot is closer to home and work so I usually go there.

Nothing beats the old hardware stores that were 1/3rd the size of HD and Lowes, but still had everything you needed.  Notice that's all past tense...they've all closed down :P

Thanks for the review. I hadn't seen that one before. I will have to make a trip to Lowe's to check it out.

Amen, brother.  The last "old time" True Value closed in my home town about two years ago, and it was a sad day.  No matter what I was looking for, that place always had it.  I'm constantly disappointed when I go looking for an odd part or tool at Lowes and they don't have it.

I have a hard time finding things at Lowes sometimes.  Some of the departments in ours aren't logically organized, IMO.  That or my logic fails me.

I just got a Hard Case Work Energizer.

Here's my very short review. It looks and feel tough but I don't like it. My 1 AAA Led flashlight is much brighter than this one.

In my opinion; it is very reasonable to start comparing any non-throwing light out there to the AAA high output format now available for $20 or less (see the Kai Domain bucklelight). They are the most convenient to EDC, they can be converted into a headlamp or ballcap clip with not much effort and they just plain put out more light than one really needs (for a significant distance;as well as spill) if you take the time to fix them up a bit.

Wrap them in tape or whatever (I tape two LSDs right to the body) if you're worried about abuse and sometimes they will outperform lights costing 2-3 times as much.
