New picture frame

I just got my LED LENSER 1 AA (model 7847 Digitac II) Led flashlight and I was amused by the size of its clamshell. I hanged it on the wall of our living room and its bigger than our picture frame.

Why do they have to pack such a small item in a very big clamshell.

very nice Eddie! Let us know your reviews. The only reason I can think of such a large pack is crime, harder to steal a big pack than a small.

10.5 hour runtime and some rechargeables...I'm not sure what else a man needs to get him through the night.

Packaging bugs me- a package like that is cheap to make, hard to steal and takes up more real estate on the shelf so that manufacturers can push the competition away. Unfortunately it's also wasteful, and while I'm not an environmentalist, I do hate waste.
