I seem to have acquired an old Wenger Champ (or Classic 28 as it was also known) with a tent on the scale... just a white print, not an inlay.

It's exactly like this otherwise: http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+Champ

Any ideas what the tent thing is about?! :)

Is this the tent you're talking about (lower right)? If so it appears to be a replacement (along with the footprint) for the hiker found on a lot of Wengers. If its something else I don't have any info on it, and 'Pictures Are Needed'!

Similiar, but the older flat scales and a more simple graphic... it's too dark for a decent pic! :D

I'll do so tomorrow if I can though :tu:

Interesting   :tu:

I'm clueless about SAK history, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was something released for a specific retailer ... that logo looks more "corporate" than "generic" to me

Usual searches turned up a few tents, none like yours.

Edit: Am assuming SAKwiki doesn't have a logo history?

Interesting. Never seen that logo on a Wenger before. The lines on the logo look rather heavy, particularly compared with the detailed logos on the older knives. Corporate or aftermarket? Don't know.
