Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

That is very nice! I'm interested in your lanyard arrangement. Is that tubing or tape?

Some shots of my beautiful Victorinox SwissChamp...

And here is a vintage Florist knife with a gorgeous wood handle...

And this bottom picture also includes a more conventional FTD Master Florist knife with nylon scales as well as the beauty with a wood handle...

My 15 year old Compact was looking a little worn so thought I would spruce it up a bit.  Harvested some Pacific Yew in January last year from an area I was building trails in.  Left it to dry in the shade for 12 months then took it to a friends shop and milled it.  Let the boards dry for another month then made some scales.  Pacific Yew is the closest we have to a hard wood around here (mostly fir, cedar, and hemlock in my area).  Sanded to 600 grit.  Haven't sealed them yet.

This knife is've finished a few days ago. I have tested it, everything is ok.
I give the knife a very good friend who soon has his 38 birthday.
Was difficult to find a nice 77er Soldier blade.

It is my first mod with wood scales. This desert iron wood I find fantastic!
I do the things like different from the others, so I riveted the scales.  ::)
