Want to buy a soldier. Swiss or German?
on: March 07, 2013, 03:25:22 PM
Hi Folks,
Yes, like a lot of us I have far-too-many SAK. Well,  can we have too many?
Anyway, I have a soldier, that has etched on the blade 1 of 5000, that I bought about two years ago.
Decided I wanted one of the new standard issues. Seems there's one for the German Army as well as for the Swiss Army. Yes, there's a difference in price. Is there a difference in the knives? Any thoughts, comments, or recommendations? Nah, I don't want to buy both........
Thanks.
Regards,
George

From the Top of my head, the only difference is (if we are talking about 111 mm knives) that the German one has plain olive drab scales while the swiss one features black/green dual grip scales.

I am fine with the plain handles, but the dual grip ones are nice with wet or cold fingers.
