What does mammoth tusk feel like?  :D

It's amazing.  It has a warmth to it that's hard to describe.  All I can say is, I can understand why mammoths went extinct.  Once one caveman had a mammoth tool, every other caveman who had a chance to handle it, would have wanted one. ;)

Was browsing eBay for a cheap 91mm Vic, as have a pair of walnut scales here looking for a knife to hug. Didn't find anything suitable though. Did run across a 53404 - Mammoth Tusk Executive NIB. Currently, as of this posting, $55.17 which considering the scales... that's a steal, yes?

It ends in under 4 hours if there any Mammoth Tuskanteers here. Not affiliated with the seller, have appreciation for the scales.

Yes.  They went for $150-200 originally.

Be aware that some of them had glops of clear glue on the scale edges.  Some people really weren't happy with the fit/finish of these fairly expensive Executives.  At $50-75 I'd snap it up if I were looking.  Even if the finish is perfect, the tool is still a Vic Exec and functions perfectly well, even with manufacturing blemishes.

Well I did see this thread when I was misbehaving in class at the weekend, but it's taken me a couple of days to stop being too jealous to say congrats - it's a bloody awesome knife Nate

Xelkos,

If you didn't win that auction, and you're still interested in a mammoth Exec, PM me.
