He really surprised me in this,he's actually a rather good comic actor!

Mind you,there's a story arch in season three,where in one episode there's Kirk,Odo,Nelix,Quark and Leila from
Futurerama,and Daniel Jackson from Stargate...geeky enough for anyone!

I thought about looking at that series, the wife & I rather enjoy Rookie Blue & Hawaii Five O, and are sad that Flashpoint has ended. That's about enough for police series for us TBH.

I've seen a few things set in the US where the credits say filmed in Canada - I assume it's a cost thing?

Wasn't Stargate SG1 filmed up there? All those "off world" evergreen forests

Yeah most Stargate stuff was in BC, and it's a cost thing of course... although I'd imagine it's getting closer to moot point with the two currencies being so close, but I believe there's also Canadian Government subsidies involved...

Speaking of other stuff in Canada that's supposed to be, Continuum and Primeval : New World (now cancelled) are filmed and intended to be in Vancouver.

That is the newer stuff but my main interests are older shows like;

Perry Mason
Ironside
Mission Impossible-(original series)
Hawaii 5-0-(original series)
The Honeymooners-(original series)
I Dream of Jeanie
6 Million Dollar Man
Mod Squad
Columbo

There are others but as you can see they are from the oldies station we get "ME TV" and a few others.

I've been rather enjoying (if that's the right word) the new Hannibal series. Mads Mikkelsen as Dr Lecter is very chilling, but I think the whole cast is excellent.
