Does this mod look right?
on: March 10, 2013, 04:24:40 PM
Thought this would be easier.  Blade spring from pioneer.  rest from 91 scissors.  Of cpurse it snaps open but everything blows up on return.  Any secrets/help would be appreciated before I ruin another set of scissors.

Thank you!

Blows up as in falls apart, or just doesn't close right?  If you use a pioneer spring usually you need to grind off some of the scissor handle or the spring hump part so it'll close right.  But ya that should work pretty much the same as using a solo spring I would think.

Sorry.  Blow up- does not close right and on my fancy jig when the spring pops, everything goes flying everywhere.  I'll take some of the hump out of the spring.  If I screw up, I have one more spring.

Just looking at the picture, is the hole on the scissors cut to 3mm. Also as syph said the spring needs a little ramp up so the scissors close.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?
