I picked up a Ti a short time ago and seen this thread so I thought I would check out the date codes. Both read 0404 on mine. I hope it is worth hanging on to! I too dont like the crimper's built into the TTi's pliers head so I picked this Ti up but now I am not sure if I should use it or keep it. It is in real good shape! User or Safe Queen?

My Ti's date stamp is 0106. Only one side of mine is stamped , odd
My Ti's got 2 different stamps, but I guess its normal 1105 and 0405.
Looks like Sir_Mike still holds the record for the earliest date stamp of 0404
