Original Charge Ti
on: April 11, 2013, 03:18:01 PM
The Charge Ti was only in production for 2 years from 2004-2006
I've just bought a very early example with date stamp 0704 and 0804
Mine has the registered trademark as a 'R' rather than the 'TM' in later versions, on the handle
It's a bit rusty, and the knife is only 154CM rather than SV30

Is it worth keeping or trade up to the new Charge TTi?
Does anyone know which month the earliest was made?

Depends mate   :D :D. Some people HATE the TTi's cap crimpers , I like the Ti's non cap crimper pliers  .

As a collector I would hang on to it , they do not come up for sale much latterly  .
If you want a user with the TTi's S30V blade over the Ti's 154cm & do not mind the cap crimpers on the TTi, trade it . In reality how many people would notice the blade steel difference  . The TTi does have the gut hook though

I will have a look at my Ti's date codes tomorrow  :tu: :tu:

I picked up a Ti a short time ago and seen this thread so I thought I would check out the date codes.  Both read 0404 on mine.  I hope it is worth hanging on to! :D

I too dont like the crimper's built into the TTi's pliers head so I picked this Ti up but now I am not sure if I should use it or keep it.  It is in real good shape!

Looks like 0404 is the earliest date. Anyone with date stamp earlier than this?

Mat you may have to look really close with a magnifying glass to see if theres a date stamp , sometimes it can be very faint.

It's beginning to look like April 2004 was the first time the Charge Ti was made.

Here are the ones that I have. I must say though that I am unaware of any Charge with the TM. Mine all have the R symbol regardless of Ti, XTi, or TTi model. So, are there TM versions of Charge scales out there? For example, I just found out that some Wingman/Sidekicks were produced with different back scales.

    BO Ti 0405 / 0405
         Ti 0206 / 0406
         Ti 1004 / 0404
Camo Ti 0704 / 0404
