Hi there, from Dallas, TX

Just joined and have a HUGE passion for little pocket treasures such as the smaller multi-tools, knives, paracord lanyards/beads, etc.

Love what I am reading so far on the Forums here and noticed I've found a new way to spend hours on end surfing the net!

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the forum!

Now you need to discover the MiniBuck tool, the SOG CrossCut with scissors instead of the pliers on your CrossGrip, a bunch of nice small Gerbers and of course the Swiss Army Knives.

I accept the blame for directing you to this site but the damage to your wallet is at your own risk.

Welcome aboard!

Bruce

Haha, Thanks Bruce. I have a SOG crosscut on the way, the USA made version slightly used, and a leatherman micra (will be my first one). I've never heard of the Buck minitool, but rest assured it will be the first thing I google once I finish this post! I've been carrying a Leatherman Style CS lately, and love it, but I sometimes swap it out with my gerber dime, which I'm not as fond of. I love the style/look of the gerber dime, I just wish the build quality was more in line with leatherman products.

I first fell in love with multi-tools in the mid 90s when I was a small kid. My father worked on various DoD contracts across the globe, and came back from a trip to England where he purchased a black gerber multitool. I thought it was the coolest thing, EVER. Since then, I've been hooked.

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Chris

Hi Chris and welcome.

Gotta love the irony there...most of us Brits are getting the tools out of the States...
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!
