Water Bottle Carry Pouch/Case, any ideas?
on: April 23, 2013, 02:18:35 AM
OK guys (and girls).. Ive kinda run into a dead end. as everyone knows Maxpedition makes there famous water bottle case that fits a standard 1L Nalgene, or basically anything 10" x 4". well i have one from another company that does the same, using Molle to attach, but here's my problem.. im not using my Nalgene bottle any more for EDC, im using my Hydroflask 40oz, and my problem is the bottle is basically 11" x 4", so it don't fit! maxpedition makes a larger size for a 12" x 5", but to me that's a little big, and there a little pricy. So for the life of me i cant find anything that i can use to carry my bottle around! ive thought of other things such as a case for a long camera lens, tripod, or even a Co2 tank for paint ball? so im asking around if anyone knows of such, a 4" round or square, and about 11" long, opens at the top, via, Zipper or side release clip, and has some type of clips to hook a strap to, and or a molle hook up? so far this is the closest thing that i have found, but it kinda looks really cheap, but the price aint bad! so any ideas? I'm going to a military vehicle show/swap meet this weekend.  If I see something that would work I'll grab it for you JR.  :tu:  Always interesting stuff at this thing.

I've been thinking about getting a Hazard 4 Flip-pouch recently, which fits a Nalgene but as it has an adjustable side release closure I imagine it'd fit something larger too. They're a little cheaper than the Maxpedition bottle holders, and also have molle straps built in.

Well if you do get one keep me updated, kinda neat but I don't think it would fit, I've seen two others that are kinda the same, neither have the flip but, one has the cord around the top but no pocket, and the other has the pocket, but no top or cord, 9.5" tall yet it's insulated so I don't know how large of a bottle will fit. Over all neither ar over $20! JR

For what it's worth, I use the small Civilian labs ones for 500ml bottles. The quality is really good although I don't think they make a larger bottle holder :-\
