Is the S2 darker or lighter than the C2 red? Thanks.

Also, I remembered you had a few SC2 and went looking for pics. Hope you don't mid me using your pics here.

Can't be sure but it looks to me your blue one's non-corkscrew side (the one with the writing) is alos a bit darker than the corkscrew side. And same with the red one.

Not really - have red S2 which differ in color from each other and several red C2, which differ in color from each other. And if S2 differ slightly, the C2 from bright red then dark red (maroon). Like and micro - I have a micro with glossy paint, and there is a matte, although representatives of Leatherman does not recognize that this is a different version :)

From the photo I can not comment on anything - set already sold in connection with the purchase of a new set. New look I can not, since you have to open the blisters. And without the blisters were only red SC2

I have almost collected all the packages are released Juice except S2 green, S2 Camo Green, S2 Camo Brown, KF4 Gray with remote USA in pliers, KF4 Camo Green, KF4 Camo Brown, well, the last with a modified stamp on the ends.

On Green S2 realized that this is an isolated instance, and camouflage versions S2 and KF4 only sold in Australia?

This blue SC2 series is a strange one. I just looked at a collection pic or our new member ThadMiller and his shows the bigger difference yet. It may be cause of the lighting but it's very visible.

Are there any SC2 around that don't have different shade scales? At first I thought it might have been an error and someone at the assembly picked up a different set of scales on mine, but this is starting to look like a rule instead of an exception.

As far as I can tell all the info on the green S2 we have is gathered in this thread.

And yes, the camo S2 and KF4 were an Australian market only versions. You can read more about them on our multitool wiki.

http://wiki.multitool.org/tiki-index.php?page=Camoflage+Juice+Tools

There are a few of them among members here but they are getting harder to find.

A better comparison pic of my SC2 and CS4 enki_ck. I can bring out slightly different shades and tints if I tilt them, but I would still say that they are the same colour.

What do you think ???

Thanks for the bonus pics. :salute: Yours appear to be the same or at least very close. The difference is very noticeable on mine though.

Something I just noticed, in your pics and the other members ones showing the CS4/SC2 differences they are older CS4s where mine is one of the newer ones, maybe they changed the colouring slightly over time on the CS4 bringing it more in line with the original SC2 colour

Could be. Now we need someone with both an old and a new CS4 and a blue SC2 to confirm. :D

Just some added info on the green S2 I think should be included in this thread. :D

That is a Juice some will be willing to pay a tidy sum to have.  :D

I know and I one of them  ;)

Sorry for the confusion. I meant it was made by Leatherman, so not a modded or later repainted tool but one that came like that straight from the factory. I don't believe they would sell the prototypes in the store but Breezy12 would have to tell us how many they had there at the time he bought it. Also the date code on it (08/2006) doesn't coincide with any of the other special runs they had.

I mean maybe it was made by Leatherman on the Leatherman factory like pre-production prototype in several copies, but it was not a official serial or limited edition SELLING model. These prototypes just comes to factory warehouse on storage. And after warehouse inventory Breezy12 bought it without papers and packages - just like some artefact

hmmm, maybe I should have held onto that green Juice... :D

here's what I know about the green S2:
  • it was purchased directly from the factory at Leatherman's one-time-only warehouse sale in early 2010 (March or April, I believe). I am 100% certain it was produced (and colored) in the LM factory.
  • The sale was held in the warehouse/storage section of the factory. The green juices were sitting in a bin with no packaging or paperwork.
  • I'd estimate there were 40 or 50 of them sitting in the bin. I got there right when the sale started, so I don't think too many were sold before I grabbed one. (I just liked the color.) So I'm sure there are other green S2 models out there somewhere... just not on this forum, apparently. ;)
  • I think wowaboro is correct that it was just a factory prototype. My best guess is that someone decided to experiment with the colors of the Juice scales, and this was something they came up with and produced in a small batch.

Yes, I saw them.

I'm waiting for the official release of them to add them to the list so we know exactly what's available and the official naming of the color variations.

I'm usually a BIG fan of coloured MTs, but the grey handle on one side and coloured on the other side just isn't doing it for me at all in the photos Ive seen so far.  Maybe they will look better in the metal ?

What are the date codes on it, wowaboro?

I'd like to add it to the first post for the production Time line.

Wow, that surprises me very much. :o

We only learned it about it in December 2013 and it became available in January 2014 so for it to have such early date stamps.

They probably used the stock frame they had from the other Juices and added a fin key and scales to it. Wonder how many of them they'll make / they made. I don't think this model will survive the switch to the new style scales and shorter blade.

Is the Juice SX the same as the C2 only with black scales?

Nope, it has a fin key (surfing tool) instead of the extra small and small flat head screwdriver.

Im gonna go bananas  :ahhh  looking at all the Juice colors.  I want them all NOW!!!!  Where the heck have I been?  I recently got a couple Juice models and thought I was near being done after the SC2 and Pro and maybe one more.  That green Juice is amazing!  There truly is no cure for this addiction other than more collecting.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but more collecting only relieves the symptoms, it doesn't cure the addiction (and I'm perfectly happy with that outcome   :pok: )
