Cause it was announced at Shot Show 2013 and became available in 2013. They had to start making tools sooner to meat the demand.

As the titanium handles are the only thing that's changed, and they're separate pieces, I think they could just as well have just used older handles, which are the pieces that are stamped... (does that sentence make sense? I just can't bring myself to writing it more clearly right now  :facepalm: )
