There's nothing to remove. You might add a Cybertool, unless you need two short auxiliary blades and a spatula too.

There is not a single tool I would remove from a Swisschamp...

Swisschamp has a really smart selection of tools... For 99% of the time it has something that can help you manage a situation that needs some kind of a tool, even if the tool wasn't original designed for solving that problem.

For example, for the first years I had my first Swisschamp, I was wondering what good the fish scaler could do for me (I don't fish)... Since today, it helped me free myself from inside a room where the door handle just fell down... Three times!

As for the "silly package hook"...

Organ donators. They do it out of philanthropy, eerr..., philaSAKy, well, you know what I mean. They help other fellow SAKs expand their tool cargo  They go straight to heaven for that.
But amputating a SAK and throwing the limp to the DUSTBIN? This is blasphemy.
Death by the fire. Unless you show full penitence and kneel in front of your Swisschamp, worshiping as appropriate. 40 Ave Victoria might be helpful.

When I used to have a Swisschamp ( I now have a Handyman ) , I used all of the tools at some time or another . Granted , not always for their intended use - Ie: the fish scaler got used as a fork etc.etc. .

Ive actually been thinking about this, and the champ is just a bit too wide for my tastes to pocket carry even with a lanyard dangle.  So for me, I am removing the fish scaler, wood saw, and plastic mag 'glass'.  Ive almost got it working to have the phillips opposite the dual openers, and then it would be just right for me.  I have no use of the wood saw, but the metal saw I have used.  The fish scaler Ive used as a ruler, but the swiss card in my wallet also has a ruler, so I'm ok to lose it.

I'm looking for an EDC change from my CT34 and I think the slimmed down champ will work for me.

Cheers

The fish scaler comes to mind. The opener layer, replacing the small blade with a combo tool. That would make it two layers thinner, and not give up anything important.

What makes a Swiss champ the champ is all the different tools

they all have their use.

even the fish scaler.

On a daily basis, I dont need most of them but I will probably never use the scaler and wood saw in my urban environment but if I were to go biking or something like that, I would have use for more of the tools so I would keep one or a MT in my backpack.

Too big to pocket carry with shorts on so summer EDC is much lighter. :D

 I guess nervium should have asked everyone that was not a SwissChamp owner, he's directed the question to the wrong group.   :D

nervium, if you're trying to build the perfect SAK for "you", I think "you" are the only one that can say which tools you need.

oho blade is important for me, a little pin will do the work, if i take the blade to the opposite side of the knife.i will throw away the small knife, can opener, fish scaler, magnifying glass, philips and wood saw.put the cap lifter to the place of small knife.on the back there will be only corkscrew and awl.

i will combo the small knife and wood saw on another knife.for garden works.

This is going to be a massacre! Please, don't post any pics of the prosedure, this is a family friendly forum and some of us don't have a strong stomach for this (I know that I can't stand it and I studied anatomy and helped to more than a handful of internal organs operations).
Nervium, I see you are a member of the Turkish National Medical Rescue Team. Perhaps a Victorinox Rescue or a Leatherman Raptor (according to your role in the team) would suit your needs and save the Swisschamp from his dreadful fate.
Otherwise I would keep the saw. When you'll need it, no other tool can substitute it.
On the other hand, the tools you intend to keep are common to a Mountaineer. Perhaps you could make an OHO blade out of it.
But if you insist, go on with your project. Just be gentle.

I would take my SwissChamp, disassemble it, remove fish-scaler, pliers, magnifying glass, and in-line phillips driver, reassemble it.  Then I wouldn't have to buy a Ranger.

swisschamp is on my table and i can not cut it.this morning i told a friend about this project an she said that she can buy me a lighter sak or can pay about a brand new Atlas price for my swisschamp.i won't destroy the masterpiece, just write her name on small blade and give it to her.

as a member of turkey national medical rescue team, i carry gerber bear grills folding with sheath as a main knife, on my belt on the right side, and vic solo or opinel as back up in my left pocket of my trousers.i bought a skeletool cx, i will try it on the field next week, i have a practice about rescue.also we have medical scissors and other medical gadget in our emergency bags but i will buy a lm raptor.

we talked about vic rescue tool, some of my friends on the team bought it but it is not very useful for medical rescue.our work area is earthquakes, avalanche and flood mostly.in turkey there is another team, emergency rescue health, that works with city ambulance service on traffic accidents.

web page of turkish national medical rescue team:

I would love to have a friend like that.
Atlas is a great SAK. Since you are a paramedic, a SAK with scissors would be of most importance. But you know your job.
I presented for years the Psychiatric Emergencies course to students and workers of the Greek Center of Emergencies. Our multitool of course is brain and speech.
Anyway, it is a great job you have. I've seen the 1999 Anatolia (Izmit?) earthquakes rescue teams working hard (one was a Greek team) and adrenaline was sky high. But when they took a survivor out of the ruins it was like a midwife giving birth to a newborn. I bet it is a phantastic experience! Good luck.

in 1999 i was in izmit too, as a lieutenant and a member of turkish air force's search and rescue team.i me many foreign teams, maybe i met you too because i remember that event of birth.

as a medical rescue team member; for personal carry we need a reliable knife and a small pliers.for cutting ropes, blankets, bandages, opening packages, preparing food, dealing with some valves and wires.medical shears etc. are always in our medical bag.but i can absolutely say that you can do everything you do with shears with a knife easily.

also i am not a paramedic, i am a dentist and only dentist working as a rescue team member in my country.
